Client Overview

Client: Pennyville Station
Industry: Restaurant & Hospitality
Location: Park Ridge, Illinois
Services: Local SEO, Content Strategy, On-Page & Technical SEO, and Structured Data
Pennyville Station is a modern American restaurant in Park Ridge, Illinois, offering lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, private dining and seasonal events.
The Challenge
Pennyville Station regularly promotes seasonal dining experiences, including Easter brunch, Mother’s Day brunch, Thanksgiving offerings and Christmas events such as Brunch with Santa.
Like many restaurants, these promotions could easily become short-lived website announcements or social media posts that primarily reach people who already follow the business.
The larger opportunity was to reach new customers actively searching Google for holiday dining and local events at the exact moment they were deciding where to make a reservation.
The Strategy
BuckStone developed a repeatable seasonal-event SEO system. Rather than placing every promotion only on a generic events page, we created dedicated landing pages for major holidays and dining experiences. Each page targeted relevant local searches such as:
- Easter brunch in Park Ridge
- Mother’s Day brunch in Park Ridge
- Christmas events in Park Ridge
- Brunch with Santa near Park Ridge
- Holiday dining in Park Ridge
The work included:
- Dedicated, reusable landing-page URLs for each event
- Locally optimized and crawlable page content
- Search-focused title tags and meta descriptions
- Clear event details and reservation information
- Internal links from Pennyville’s Offers and Events section
- Event structured data describing the event, date and location
- Preservation of expired event pages so their authority could be retained and reused in future years
After each event ended, the page could be removed from the primary navigation without being deleted. This allowed Pennyville to preserve the page’s search history and refresh it for the following year.
The Results
Christmas Promotion
Pennyville’s Christmas promotion page increased its organic performance by 87% during December. Over a two-month period, the page generated:
- 5,372 Google Search impressions
- 233 organic clicks
The page also reached the first page of Google for searches such as “Christmas event in Park Ridge.”
Easter Brunch
Within only a few weeks of launching, the Easter brunch page:
- Became the website’s fifth-most-clicked organic page
- Generated approximately 640 Google Search impressions
- Ranked #1 for “Easter brunch in Park Ridge”
- Positioned Pennyville as the first restaurant featured in the local map results for that search
Mother’s Day
The Mother’s Day landing page appeared at the top of Google for “Mother’s Day Park Ridge.” During the campaign period, the Easter and Mother’s Day pages became the website’s third- and fourth-most-clicked organic pages and generated nearly 200 combined clicks.
Overall Events Visibility
During another reporting period, Pennyville’s seasonal event pages and main Offers/Events page generated:
- Nearly 10,000 Google Search impressions
- More than 200 organic clicks
At one point, the main Offers and Events page was second only to the homepage in organic click growth.
Business Impact
BuckStone transformed Pennyville’s holiday promotions from temporary announcements into long-term organic search assets. The strategy allowed Pennyville to:
- Reach new customers beyond its existing social media audience
- Appear when people were actively searching for local holiday dining
- Drive users directly from Google to event and reservation information
- Build reusable pages that can retain authority from year to year
- Create a repeatable SEO framework for future promotions and events
The important takeaway is not simply that rankings increased — these pages put Pennyville in front of customers during high-intent seasonal booking periods.
